Meet the Barnstormers...
These guys have been doing their thing out of NYC for some time. Their motion paintings take days (and sometimes weeks) to complete. A stop-action camera records the work as it is being painted and the end result is a film that captures the evolution of the work. They incorporate many styles (including a heavy dose of graf!), often improvising as they go. This is one of my favorites ("Letter to the President")... the use of text is great. Take a look at their website www.b-stormers.com and search their videos on youtube.

Tribute to graffiti
Yeah this has been out for a little while, but its still a good assortment of public art/graf.
Take a look at this ode to balloons! Its been out for a while, but I still love it. Check out the LED-helium balloon structure "the burble" from London's 2007 fashion week, and the eco-friendly garden gnome balloons that are biodegradable and plant seeds when it deflates... the video at the end of the article: GREAT!

Common at Mixx
Hip hop recording artist Common came to Mixx on Friday. After mingling with an intimate audience for a listening session of his new cd, he came down from the third floor to the first and got down with several classic Common hits. The crowd was feeling the vibe and Common looked like he was enjoying himself, performing from the elevated sitting area and rocking his black leather jacket. He definitely gave a good 5- or 6-song set, starting with "Go!" and "The People," and highlighting the new ablum's first single "Universal Mind Control."
After the performance and a few more drinks - which we're a little weaker than I like - we hit up Lucy Blue's pizza window on 12th & Walnut (open late for all the hungry drunks!). If you haven't taken advantage of this late-night pizza czar, it's a Cincy must-have.
